Building Alliance - Week 6:
In this blog I will talk about how our presentation went and how we are going to take the feedback that we were given and use it to improve our game.
How the presentation went:
I feel the presentation went well as we kept our presentation to just over 15 minutes which was over the time limit however we didn't exceed it by much. During the presentation I was nervous however I think that I did well due to not having much to talk about so I could focus on getting what I had to do right and getting the points I had to say across. My other job when we were talking about our presentation was clicking through the powerpoint and writing down any feedback that we were given. We were given quite a bit of feedback for the presentation of our game which a lot of it was positive.
Feedback:
With this feedback given by our tutor we are going to take into consideration what we can improve on and what was thought to be good so far and work on that with the feedback given.
Meeting:
We weren't able to have a meeting this week however we felt as though we didn't need to have one as we hadn't made much progress with the project this week and thought that it would be better to go over what we had done in Thursdays lesson.
Orthographics:
Our 2D Lead presented their orthograph for our Fungal Artillery tower and I presented a different way to have our orthographic so that it was already posed as it would be quite simple to use curves and extrude along the path however our Director said that it would be easier to model it straight up and then rig it to be able to pose it. I thought that my way would be quicker than rigging it however when we come to texture it and UV unwrap it then it might be a lot harder to do it my way than it would be to rig it and pose it.
