Building Alliance - Week 7:
In this blog I will talk about what we discussed in class, what I started working on in lesson and what we are going to be working on during the week.
What was discussed:
We discussed some of Ed's drawings that they were working on and we were discussing the different colour schemes that we wanted for the alveoli for the level in the lungs. We thought about having them as pink however it would really blend in with the background and we thought that a blue colour pallet would fit better so it stands out and is stylised.
We decided that we could use the pellet models that I had already created when we were making concept art as they are so simple that we didn't need to spend more time creating more 3D models of them and orthographics for them when we have ones we could already use.
This is my bone marrow tower model that I created, I used an othographic that Francis had created and then asked for feedback and our director said that I should take some inspiration from a bone to create the top as what was drawn was too circular. With that feedback I went to look at what bones look like and then used it to create the top of the bone.
I was given feedback about the door too to make it less neat which I agreed with as it will make it look more broken rather than a clean and neat door. The door is off centre which I don't really like however our director said that it makes it look like its not as neat and it gives the model more character.
What I started to work on in lesson:
We discussed what we needed to work on over the week and that we wanted to start working on 3D modelling. We decided that we needed to finish the orthographics that we could use for creating the 3D models. Seb started working on some of the microplastic orthographics and I started working on the pellets however we decided that we didn't need to make a pellet orthographic as they were very simple models.
This is the orthographic I started to make in class before we decided that we didn't need one for it. Its quite a simple model that doesn't need much time spent on it. We have yet to decide if we want eyes on the enemies or how many versions of the pellets we want to make.
What I am going to be working on over the week:
Over this next week I am going to work on using a few of the orthographics that have been made and creating them in 3D using Maya and Zbrush. I will then present them to the group to get feedback on them and then use the feedback to change the design.
Meeting:
This we didn't end up having a meeting as our director thought that didn't need one as he gave us our assignments for the next lesson so that we could work on it in the mean time before the next lesson so that we could discuss it our next lesson.
