Real Worlds - Week 6:
In this blog I will be talking about what I presented to the client and the feedback I was given for my designs and how I will use the feedback and change my designs from their feedback.
What I showed to the client:
Asterian Character:
Feedback from the client:
During the meeting I voice recorded the meeting with the clients permission so that I could go back to the feedback that was given and listen to it again and also make notes about what I needed to change which I will list below:
Asterians:
Even if bigger tougher shape go for a sleek design
Put a huge hood to justify the head being hunched over
Don't go too blocky
Narrow Shoulders to keep proportions
Looks orc like at the moment and pull it in a bit
With the flared pieces by the neck make sure they aren't high
Enforcers:
Knife & Pistol would work better than the spear
More muscle would be better
Add bags & packs
Likes the bag on the leg
Loves the drone design
Camo cloak maybe?
Keep the cloak short though
Likes the silhouette
Mask & Visor is good but doesn't have to use it
Holster for the gun on the side
When come to add the armour make sure it has the angles as the enforcer armour is made up of a lot of the angles and straight edges
Keep feminine shape but have them more angled
Show a little bit of the breastplate behind
What I need to do for next week:
I need to start working on my model as I am behind on where I should be with it as I should have already finished the modelling and now be finishing retopology however due to me creating my model in Maya I don't have to retopologise it as long as I create my model with good topology in mind. I need to make sure that I don't slip too far behind on my model, even if it won't take me as long as the thumbnails have as I think it will be helpful to give myself as much time as possible to be able to work on it to get it to the best it can be before moving onto the environments we need to create after the formative.
