Real Worlds - Week 5:

In this blog I will be talking about what I worked on during industry week for this project and what I need to get done for the meeting with the client next week. 

Schedule: 


For my schedule, I did decide to include industry week in the schedule so that I could have more time to continue with my designs around when I had to go in for the talks though out industry week however as shown in the image, I am behind on where I should be by a week with my thumbnails. I needed to use this week to catch up with my thumbnails and a few other tasks such as starting to model which I should have already started but I haven't had chanced to yet. I finished the backstories for this week though which I am happy with.

What I did this week:

During this week I finished the thumbnails that I needed to finish before next week so that I should show them at the client meeting. I may create more thumbnails for the weapon for my Asterian character though but I have finished all the others I need to get done. 

Asterian Character:


After finishing most of my thumbnails for this specific character I hadn't decided what I wanted to do with the weapon so I wanted to create some ideas quickly in Maya when I get the chance so that I can get more of an idea of what I want for the weapon but also that I can quickly get an idea instead of slowly trying to come up with ideas to draw them.

Enforcer Character: 


I wasn't sure what I wanted the armour to look like but I tried to use similar shapes from what the other pathfinders had and the other Enforcer characters for an idea of what I could use for my character. I wanted to have bags and straps but I thought some of them had too many so in some designs I didn't put them in all of them. 

I chose the final look for the character that I wanted to show and so that I could get feedback on it. I didn't have time to make the design cleaner so I just sized up the image as it still shows the idea however it is slightly messy.

Asterian Backstory:

Aster is similar to a cypher prime however is much stronger version. This version is one of only a few of this type due to it being easier to spot due to it's height and weight making it easier to hear. Even though it packs a punch and makes fights easy, it does have it's disadvantages. The asterian warrior that commands this cypher is called in to help with difficult situations where sneaking might not be possible to get the mission done. 

Enforcer Backstory:

Dehya is a pathfinder that finds themselves wandering the deadzones scouting out places that may become a danger so that she can contact the enforcers to take a look and make sure that nothing is of danger. She travels with her companion drone that helps her scout and keeps her company too. They have travelled quite a lot of the deadzones however there is always more for them to explore.

What I need to finish for next week:


For next week I need to have started modelling and hopefully have mostly finished it. I do have more time if I choose to use the retopologise week to model as well as I won't have to retopologise or at least won't have to retopologise a lot because I am going to complete most of it in Maya.
