Zbrush Project 2 - Concept Art & Scheduling:

This blog will contain all of the assets I needed to create before starting the model such as the moodboards, concept art and orthographics I needed to create for the submission.

Kanban Chart:

The image shows a small part of the Kanban Chart from when I started the project.

I created a Kanban Chart from the checklist we had been given so that I could keep track of what I had completed and what I hadn't. With having each part of the project put into smaller tasks that make up each part it is much easier to see what I need to complete for it still and its not as daunting when looking at them as the main tasks themselves.

Gantt Chart:

This shows the Gantt Chart that I created so that I could keep on track with everything I needed to get done and see what is coming up. I decided to give myself more time to model the character than retopologizing my model, texturing or rigging because I knew that my skills in using Zbrush aren't as good as they are in Maya so I wouldn't be as fast at sculpting than I was at modelling in Maya.

Moodboards:

At the start of making my mood boards I wasn't really sure what type of character I wanted to create. I originally had an idea but after looking through images for inspiration I thought about changing my idea which is why in the first image it has quite a few different ideas and themes but in the image below I had decided to stick with my original idea so I collected more images for that so I had more inspiration to work off.

When creating this part of the moodboard I already had an idea of what I wanted and decided what I wanted to create so I gathered images that fit the style of clothing I was aiming for and will use it as inspiration for thumbnails for the characters clothing.
