Building Alliance - Week 8:

In this blog I will discuss what I was tasked with creating in the lesson and what we were tasked to do before the next lesson such as creating the fungi artillery. 

Before Lesson:

Before lesson I started working on the fungi artillery tower so that I could continue it in lesson. I used the orthographic that we had from our 2D Lead and I started using it and created the base of the tower. I created a simple cylinder and used the extrude tool to create the bottom part and then used another cylinder and used the soft select tool as well the extrude tool to shape it to the correct shape.

During Lesson:


During the lesson I worked on finishing the tower using the orthographic to be able to create the arms and the flowers that were on the arms. I tried different looks for the flowers on the arms and I got different feedback from my group about it such as the director asking to make it more flower like as I originally had it look similar to the main stem of the tower. I used that and improved the design so that my group was happy with it then I added the balls on the side of the stems to add detail and then I added the file to onedrive so the others could access it to work on it.

Our research lead was working on a few 3D models for the levels that we are creating and they were struggling with creating some of the assets needed and I offered the way I would create the trees and they found it really useful as it helped them understand an easier way to be able to create them.

Edwards Level Design:


My Idea using Edwards Design:


I used Edwards design that he made of the mouth level and I added the teeth around as I thought that it fitted better as just having the tongue felt empty as if there was something missing. I showed it to the group and they agreed that they preferred my drawing.
